“Did we just get the Miracle Whip account?” — ad executive in Mad Men last night, when he spots a Catholic priest in the office.

Right now, there’s just no better drama on television, and the subtle but striking depiction of early 1960’s Catholicism (Brooklyn variety) makes it even more compelling.

And if the priest in the series (a Jesuit, of all things!) looks familiar, he’s Colin Hanks (Tom’s son) who may be best known for his supporting turn in Peter Jackson’s “King Kong.”

UPDATE: James Martin (a Jesuit, of all things!) has his own take on last night’s episode, and thinks the priest in question needs to take a course in pastoral counseling.
