At a time when memories are made by gathering around a bountiful table…there are some chairs which will be empty this year.  One such chair was left empty by a large soul:  Hugh Prather.  This holiday I will come to the table, already FULL~ of thanks for his life and that we got to share his joy for so very long.

Timeless Brilliance

for many nights i told myself the night sky was
especially bright because of the coming cold.

now i know it is because he who was beloved
by many has walked on –

       the stars shine
     more brilliantly
    as he takes his place
among them.

For the bounty of gracious and kind memories – we are grateful for our friends who
are here in memory.
