Shania Twain recently appeared in an episode of “The Graham Norton Show” where she opened up about her scary throat surgery in 2018. The country star said that it left a scar, but was more than worth it. “The operation was very invasive, and I’ve got a big scar that I am proud of. I’m very happy to have a scar rather than no voice,” said Twain after discussing her fears of the possible negative impacts the surgery could have had on her vocal chords. “The surgery was a miracle, and I am so grateful. Going back into a studio after the operation was a discovery and I was re-learning voice. I can get very loud and now I can swear really loudly!”

Her latest record since the surgery, “Queens of Me,” which was released in February 2023, is something Twain is very proud of saying, “I ended up making a very happy, inspired, and celebratory album.” She is set to go on tour for her new album in the spring.
