When I walk through the skyway at lunch it is usually so crowed with people, it’s like being in the middle of traffic.   I notice that when people are paying attention and decisive, the “traffic” moves smoothly, but when someone is not paying attention or is indecisive, “jams” occur.

It’s a good metaphor for life.   When we are decisive and paying attention, life seems to move smoothly.  But when we sleepwalk – not being mentally involved in our decisions – or are indecisive, life seems to “jam” up.

When we decide, we evolve.  It’s not really the decisions that matter because whatever they may be we have the opportunity to learn from them – to evolve.  It’s the process of making the decisions that matters.   It’s how we grow and evolve.

And it led me to thinking:

There is really only one wrong decision we can make in life – Not consciously making one.
