bird-sunset-300x300Here comes the Sun, nah na nah na, and I say it’s better than alright because it’s in airy Aquarius!

The Sun moves into breezy, brainy, independent and zany Aquarius on Sunday, January 19, and it signals a beginning of the end of the longest, coldest and most isolating part of winter.

Aquarius is friendly and social and experimental, so this is a great time to get back out of the house you’ve been hibernating in. It’s time to meet up with friends, discuss new ideas and make plans for the future.

I identify strongly with Aquarius because it’s an Air sign, like my own Sun sign of Gemini, and also because my Mars and North Node are in Aquarius — which makes me kind of kooky, like most Aquarians.

My mom’s an Aquarius, and she’s definitely a brilliant eccentric that fits the Aquarian stereotype. Being raised by this quirky lady has given me so much appreciation for this sign. There was never a dull moment growing up with this woman, and now Aquarius season is one of my favorite times of year.

This is when everyone behaves a bit more unpredictably, which makes life more interesting, and people are more willing to get together for happy hour or brunch and just chatter non-stop about all kinds of wacky things.

Prepare to be entertained, people! The Aquarian Sun is melting that icy Capricorn state of mind and amazing things are on the horizon!
