Mercury in Pisces

I can’t tell you how many times people have accused me of being a space cadet — WRONG. That couldn’t be further from the truth, but if you want to talk about “spacing out” we can certainly discuss Mercury in Pisces.

See, sometimes when people think I’m spacing out, it’s because I’m doing a lot of deep thinking and analyzing and calculating. It may result in a dumb look on my face, but my brain is always very busy.

Mercury in Pisces, on the other hand, is a transit that stops all that over-thinking and gives us a nice two and a half weeks of cosmic quiet to enjoy.

So if I have a dumb look on my face in the next few weeks, yeah, OK, maybe this time it’s because I’m be spacing out. But you know what? I’m going to enjoy it, because I’m looking at this transit as a much-needed mental time-out.

Mercury is the planet of communication, and it relaxes as it spins through dreamy Pisces. Some people think of this as a lazy transit, when all we do is lie around and stargaze. But in fact this transit simply quiets all that busy brain activity so we can better hear our inner voice.

Not only is this a great time for getting better in touch with your intuition, but it’s also great for pursuing creative projects because our imaginations will be soaring.

As an over-thinking Gemini and as a writer, I’m very much looking forward to this transit and its creative opportunities. Lookout new novel, here I come!
