Venus in CapricornOh boy, here we go. Love planet Venus is moving into serious Capricorn tomorrow (January 8, 2013), and it has me a little bit concerned.

I guess it’s really a good thing, but I’m not sure how it will play out in my own life. See, when Venus is in Capricorn, relationships get serious. It’s harder to remain light and carefree with your partners, and you start worrying about things like commitment and the future.

In other words, it’s time to get real.

This isn’t a bad thing — in fact, many of you probably think this sounds great. But if you’re in a relationship such as mine, where the roll has been necessarily slow, it sounds like this could put some pressure on it.

I guess that’s OK. I’ve been with my guy for over a year and a half, so maybe it’s time we talk more about the future. Thus far we’ve have more of a tendency to enjoy each other in the moment and not worry about that heavy stuff.

But how do you know when it’s time to commit? Is that when relationships lose their spontaneous joy, or is that when it really starts to get good? I’ve seen it go both ways before, so in this case I guess I don’t really know.

But here comes Venus in Capricorn, so I suspect I’m going to find out.
