Well, Mercury is officially retrograde, and I managed to wait a whole two hours into it before freaking out on my boyfriend.

Romance gets tricky in retrograde, and clearly no one is immune to love complications now. I mean, if someone like me who knows all about it and is fully prepared can still get tangled up in love knots … well, consider yourselves warned.

MERCURY! YOU MAKE ME MENTAL!

What I did, you see, is create a giant problem out of nothing. My bf wasn’t feeling well, so he was being rather quiet, which I mistook for being withdrawn and took personally, so then I had a nice little tantrum and came out looking like a selfish, whiny idiot.

Of course, in my own defense there were reasons I acted like that. My last boyfriend would become withdrawn sometimes, and it turned out it was because he was a lying cheater. So when my guy gets quiet, it triggers that past pain. So, yeah, I may have some residual issues, if you know what I mean. But I’m pretty sure Mercury Retrograde is what brought those issues to the surface so quickly.

People and issues from the past often arise during Mercury Retrograde — old lovers will show up wanting you back, or you’ll start daydreaming about the one who got away. And in this case the old feelings of betrayal and mistrust bubbled up, perhaps for the very reason of me needing to deal with them.

I explained all of this to my boyfriend and he was very understanding, so hopefully this will bring us closer together. Either that or he’ll dump be for acting like a nutcase. I’ll keep ya posted!

In the meantime, if you want to avoid problems like the one I just created, check out Tarot.com’s article about romance in retrograde. And then actually follow the advice, just like I didn’t. 🙂
