Read the Weekend Love Horoscope at Tarot.comOk, I have a confession to make: I’m writing and programming this blog post in advance because I’m on vacation as you’re reading this. I’m going on my first backpacking trip with my boyfriend, out in the rugged wilderness of Washington State.

We’re going on a 4-day trip through difficult terrain, and I feel like it’s going to be a true test of our relationship. The journey will involve hiking uphill between 6-10 miles per day with at least 30-50 pounds on our backs, sleeping on the ground, pooping in the woods and … gasp! No wine!

Don’t get me wrong — I’m really looking forward to it and I love the outdoors. But I’m no dummy. I know how cold it’s going to get at night; I know the mosquitos might be bad; and I know that when people are pushed to their physical limits they sometimes break.

That’s why the first thing I did to prepare for this trip is read the Weekend Love Horoscope. Sure, I got new hiking boots, dug out my compass and map, and checked my Thermarest pad for holes. But I also took a good hard look at what lovers can expect this weekend.

I mean, if I’m heading into a situation that’s emotionally charged from the get-go, isn’t it just as important to prepare for that as it is to bring along mosquito repellent?

Fortunately, the news is good. The Moon will be in Gemini from Friday to Monday, which is always a fun and easy transit. Not to mention me and my boyfriend are both Geminis, so that combined should make for lighthearted and friendly companionship on the trail, and lots of jokes around the campfire at night.

People are typically in a good mood under a Gemini Moon, so that should help prevent any arguments that might break out when we’re pushed to extremes. And pushed to extremes we will be — did I mention there will be NO WINE?
