Is my love quotient on the rise or on the decline?
It’s a question I frequently ask myself, because my “love” line is always either going up or going down. Whenever I sense my heart shriveling, my capacity for care dwindling, my attention to people waning, I sit still until I get things sorted out.

Am I becoming more dedicated to befriending those God puts in my path … or less?
More devoted to loving at all times (Proverbs 17:17) … or less?
More determined to helping those who fall get right back up (Ecclesiastes 4:10) … or less?
More committed to laying down my life for my friends (John 15:13) … or less?

As far as I know, there are only two ways for the line to go–up or down. Which way will yours go today?
