This is the essence of sin: rebellion against God. Adam and Eve’s decision [to rebel in the Garden of Eden] is repeated by every generation and every person. We are all guilty of sin, because we all choose our own way instead of God’s way.
Remember: This world is not the way God meant it to be, and neither are we. But is this end of the story? How depressing, how hopeless life would be if it were . . . but it isn’t! Life can be different. We don’t need to be crippled any longer by the disease of sin—because God has provided the cure.
Today, write a confession of your sins. Then, write a prayer asking God to help you choose His way instead of your own.
