Even before time began, God knew all about us and planned this new path for us. He looked across the ages and saw that we would be helpless and lost in sin, unable to find the right road on our own. He saw you. From all eternity He planned to provide another way—a way that will take us to heaven someday and that gives us purpose and peace in the meantime. That way is Jesus, who alone could say, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

If you’ve never prayed to Jesus, feel free to do so now. Ask him to forgive you, help you, and have a relationship with you. If you have prayed to Jesus in the past, write about how it has changed your life. Name five ways you are, or would like to be, different from before.
