Help Beliefnet select the “The Most Inspiring Person of 2009.” We’re celebrating the 10th year of this popular feature, and we want YOUR nominations.
Do you know of a remarkable individual who has shown heroism, selflessness, and love by doing something extraordinarily inspiring in 2009? Is there a person who fought for a cause or helped others in need? You can nominate high-profile celebrities or ordinary people who’ve done something extraordinary in 2009.
Our previous winners include Randy Pausch, the “Last Lecture” professor who died last year of pancreatic cancer; Liviu Lebrescu, the Virginia Tech professor who sacrificed his life to save his students during the 2007 massacre at the school; and Victoria Ruvolo, the New York woman who forgave the teenagers who nearly killed her when they threw a frozen turkey through her windshield.

We want to hear from you! Deadline for nominations is Tuesday, October 6. Share your nominees in the comments below, or join the discussion about this year’s inspiring people here.
