Numerous people worldwide have experienced the power of prayer, including musician and pastor Travis Greene. Greene, a Columbia, South Carolina native, has felt that power in a life-changing way. He shared that he fell from a four-story window when he was four years old and was soon after pronounced dead.

Greene visited “Fox & Friends Weekend” for the “Faith & Friends” concert series to discuss what happened, recalling how the power of prayer brought him back to life. He said, “I was pronounced dead, and my mother prayed for me and restored my life.” The five-time Grammy Award nominee, who was living in Germany with his mother when he fell, said his survival was a miracle.

Greene gives God all the glory for his recovery. Greene is also a pastor at Forward City Church in Columbia, in addition to being a musician. Greene says he and his band perform for hundreds of people at church every weekend. He noted that the band is releasing a new album, “Expect Impossible,” on April 7, 2023.

Greene says the band hopes to spread the gospel’s messages through their music. “We use that to be able to give people a greater truth that can help inspire them in their life,” the musician said. Greene said that Forward City is a nontraditional church that welcomes visitors who are very familiar with Christ and perhaps tired of hearing the gospel in traditional ways. It also includes others who are just beginning to learn about the faith.

He said, “We’re traveling the world, letting people know that Jesus is real and he loves us.” The musicians sang the song “Tent Revival” from their upcoming album for the fans at the “Faith & Friends Weekend” concert series performance.

Greene began his music career in 2007 with the release of The More via Greenelight Records. He has since released two studio albums, Stretching Out in 2010, The Hill in 2015, and an extended play, Intentional in 2015. Travis Greene’s third album Crossover: Live From Music City, was released in 2017 as a live album. Greene’s music has charted on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums and the Top Gospel Songs charts, and he has been nominated for multiple awards, including five Grammy Awards and 13 Stellar Awards.
