My husband Mr. Chattering (a.k.a. Steve Waldman) and Beliefnet.com spirituality editor Valerie Reiss (who’ll be blogging for me while I vacation in two weeks) have a short “Periscope” item in the current issue of Newsweek in which they define what makes Lohasians tick.

What are Lohasians? You are most certainly entitled to ask. They are people who live Lifestyles of Heath and Sustainability). Translation: That’s anybody “dedicated to personal and planetary health.” It’s estimated that we make up about 17 percent of the American population.
