I have a new favorite!  I didn’t know about it when I did the original series about sugar substitutes, but thought this would be a good time to introduce it.  It’s called Just Like Sugar — and I have not been able to find ONE single negative post about it.  That’s phenomenal, because all of the sweeteners I studied have at least one drawback. With stevia, it’s the aftertaste.  With xylitol it’s the laxative effect.  I could go through the list — but this one has no problems.

Just LIke Sugar has only four ingredients.  It contains chicory root dietary fiber, calcium, vitamin C, and natural flavors from the peel of a lemon.  No nasty chemicals at all!  It has no calories and a glycemic number of 0, so it is safe for diabetics and won’t sabotage your weight-loss efforts.

You can use it cup for cup like sugar in baking — and it tastes great!  This one is a winner all the way around.
