Exercise is your king, and nutrition is your queen. Together they create your fitness kingdom.  Jack LaLane

Jack LaLane hit the airwaves as a fitness guru in those early days of television. I remember him jumping and stretching on our black and white set when black and white sets were the newest wave of technology.

And he had it right.  His long, healthy, active life proved it.  You won’t be fit without exercise. You might be a skinny person if you have a stick to a strict enough diet plan — but you will be an unfit skinny person. In the same way, countless studies have shown that exercise always has benefits, but won’t keep the extra fat off if you eat more than you burn off.

You need both the king and queen in your fitness kingdom.  A low glycemic eating plan is a part of the equation and consistent, doable exercise is the other part.

I would go a step further and say that the right supplements to make up for the lacks in our modern diet  are the prince and princesses of the kingdom.  Do these things and you can’t help but enjoy that wonderful kingdom  of fitness — Beyond Gorgeous.

Eating to live and living for Christ,

Susan Jordan Brown
