January is a pretty light month with a minimum of planetary interactions – a much needed break giving us time to prepare for the growing intensity later in the year.
  1. Moon is in Virgo until late Tuesday night the 5th, enhancing our need for organization and our interest in health and hygiene.
  2. Sun is conjunct Mercury on Monday the 4th, clearing our mind of dust and debris and helping us to focus on the task at hand.  Sun and Mercury are both in Capricorn where achievement is a powerful motivator.
  3. Mercury moves into position to conjoin Venus late on the 4th, culminating the morning of the 5th.  We have a greater appreciation of beauty and a greater need for harmony now and communication becomes easier.
  4. The entry of the Moon into Libra late on the 5th (just before midnight EST) enhances this sense of love and harmony and broadens our ability to appreciate others.
  5. Moon enters Scorpio early in the morning on the 8th, intensifying our emotions and necessitating deeper interactions that may uncover challenges that lie beneath the surface.
  6. Moon moves into Sagittarius just after noon on the 10th, lightening our heart again and giving us a few days of adventurous spirit and curious soul.
