For many years I supported myself as an artist. It’s how I got my Ph.D. without a mountain of debt. Before I turned my site into a blog it had a link to many of my favorite pen and ink drawings, but when it became a blog I put off re-creating a link to them amidst the hustle and bustle of teaching, trying to help defend America’s freedom from the radical right, and working on a book manuscript.
Now that I’m taking a year to write I have a little more time for projects of pure pleasure, like re-creating my art link. That will happen soon due to the efforts of the good folk at eye and ear media, but for now I’m adding a link to much of my art at Flickr in this text and also planting it in my categories section.
