Sandra Garson
Sandra Garson, a proud Buddhist practitioner, is the author of Veggiyana, the Dharma of Cooking (Wisdom Publications, 2011), a popular paperback with food wisdom, history and vegetarian recipes. She is the founder of the food/food garden charity Veggiyana which feeds Tibetan Buddhist monastics and schoolchildren. She studied food history at Radcliffe, has published many articles and essays, ran a successful catering business and sold her baked goods at a farmers' market before writing How to Fix a Leek... to answer all the questions shoppers asked. She is also the kitchen magician who teaches kids about food as Nana Letscook.
