Robbing the cradle
Believe that God lifts us up in difficult times. My parents died a year apart – Dad from an auto accident and Mom of a brain tumor. I never cried. It’s not that I was in denial, or that I did not love my parents. My heart was not heavy. Instead, I felt joy that came from knowing that they were at peace with God. Years later, Richard lost both parents and a sister within two years. The way I had responded to my loss served as an example to him in his grief, as he had not been raised to believe in an afterlife.
