Communicate to Live
Good relationships with others start with you - the individual self! How we communicate with ourselves is just as important as communicating with others, and that exchange takes in different forms (verbally, written, bodily) externally and internally. Our self judgments cause us to judge others and the cycle becomes vicious. However, if we examine the three aspects of the self: The Emotional Self, The Defensive Self and The Expanded Self. These aspects are the emotional, energetic, and mental sides of our inner self that manifest in physical and behavioral patterns. It is as if there are three different people living within each of us. When all three work together as a team they are unified as a cohesive self. When the aspects are in conflict with one another, the self is divided and weak. A positive inner dialogue enhances our ability to relate with others. The goal is to return to union with oneself and others.
