share, a, prayerPray It Forward.

Think of it as a movement. The people behind Share a Prayer know how powerful prayer is, so they created an app that would allow Christians all over the world to “pray it forward,” sharing prayers and good wishes with friends, family and loved ones through text, email and social media, no matter the occasion. Now, instead of just telling someone you’ll pray for them, you can show them.

The app is widely considered “the fastest growing faith-based social media app,” and is allowing users all over the world to connect through the power of prayer.

The beauty of the app is how limitless it is. It encourages you to share prayers and greetings wherever you are. Whether it’s a special milestone, a time of grief or you’re thinking about someone and want to send a message of encouragement, it allows you to send a reminder of God’s love.

The app has 10 prayer categories and comes pre-loaded with prayers and greetings to choose from but if you’re more of a creative, you can customize your prayer or come up with an original to send to brighten someone’s day.

First launched as an iOS app, today, the Share-a-prayer app is more social than ever. John Swisher and Joseph Bellissimo, co-founders of Pray Forward, Inc. recently announced the launch of the new Share-a-prayer Facebook desktop app, which will expand the growing brand on the most popular social network and allow users to connect with others all around the world. Users can choose from a selection of pre-loaded backgrounds, import their own photos, all while praying it forward.

Bellissimo considers Share a Prayer his most passionate project. As a practicing Catholic and active parishioner, he was inspired by people praying for one another on social media and wanted to create an application where individuals could share those same meaningful prayers and greetings via text, email, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, no matter where they were, whenever God called them to.
