There are several TV moms that we constantly nod in agreement or laugh out loud because they’ve portrayed a moment in our lives that we can connect with.

From June Cleaver to Wilma Flintstone, we’ve watched these memorable women all play the same role but in very different ways. Despite sharing the same name, mom, they all manage to add a unique twist that separates them from the rest. Now we’ve reached a time where millennials are emerging into the workforce and rules are constantly changing – and these moms are portraying the cultural change on TV. Modern Family’s sassy Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, played by Sofia Vergara, is without a doubt one of the funniest moms on TV. She’s a strong woman, who’s not afraid to voice her opinion and knows a thing or two how to complete the perfect outfit. Gloria is the mother of Manny and Joe – and despite the age difference between her and husband Jay Pritchett, she manages to keep him on his toes. Gloria’s Columbian heritage is very important and she does not shy from her family’s traditions. She doesn’t like to be wrong and will always go above and beyond for her children.

Remember the episode where Manny steals the locket and Gloria covers up for his foolish actions? Gloria’s always quick to push her children to go out on a limb, but is also quick to shield them from any pain.

Marge Simpson

The Simpsons has begun its 26th season on TV. Many television critics have said that The Simpsons is “one of the greatest sitcoms of our time.” There’s no doubt that the show would have never had so much success without patient and powerful Marge Simpson. Homemaker Marjorie Jacqueline Bouvier a.k.a. Marge is voiced by Julie Kavner. Marge is the matriarch of the Simpson family with her husband Homer, she has three children Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Not only does Marge have a go-getter’s attitude, but she is ultimately the moral compass of her family. She always maintains her composure and somehow seems to have a level head – even during some situations of disarray. Amidst the challenges that are presented on a daily basis, Marge manages her family and always puts their best interest in her forefront.
