This message came over me like a wave and I know some of you really need to hear these words today. I was reading my bible and again, God spoke to me right where I was. He knew my thoughts and what was heavy on my heart.

Come to ME for REST and refreshment. The journey has been too much for you, and you are bone-weary. Do not be ashamed of your exhaustion. Instead, see it as an opportunity for ME to take charge of your life.

Remember that I can fit everything into a pattern for good, including the things you wish were different. Start with where you are at this point in time and space, accepting that this is where I intend you to be. You will get through today one step, one moment at a time. Your main responsibility is to remain attentive to Me, letting Me guide you through the many choices along your pathway. I know this may sound like an easy assignment, but it is not. Your desire to live in My Presence goes against the grain of ‘the world, the flesh, and the devil.” Much of your weariness results from your constant battles against these opponents. However, you are on the path of My choosing, so don’t give up! Hope in Me, for you will again praise Me for the help of My Presence. -Jesus Calling

It is natural for children to trust their parents, even though parents sometimes fall short and fail to keep their promises. Our heavenly Father, however, NEVER makes promises He won’t keep. Nevertheless, His plan takes more time. We think “what are we waiting for?” and we choose to go on our own. We act like impatient children as we wait for God’s plan to unfold. What we have to start learning is that all good things come with time and patience. When a parent tells a child no, it is usually for their own good. Good parents want to give their children the desires of their heart but they also want to protect them from harm. Can you imagine what God wants to give to us, when we allow Him access to our lives?

As a believer you are not left with your own resources to cope with your problems. Even when you don’t know the right words or what else you can say to God, the Holy Spirit prays with you and for you, and God answers. You don’t need to be afraid to come before Him, ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you in accordance with God’s will. Then trust that He will always do what is best for you.

God works in all things not just isolated incidents for our good. This does not mean that everything that happens to us will be good. Evil is prevalent in our fallen world, but God is able to turn every circumstance around for our long term good. Remember, through fulfilling His purpose, if we don’t resist, we can have tremendous joy. Note, that this promise is not for everyone. It can be claimed only by those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. People who believe and trust in God look for their security in heaven not on this earth. They do not trust in the treasures of the earth but the eternal treasures of heaven. They learn to accept not resent because God is with them and for them. I think the thought of Heaven seems so foreign to us because we have yet to experience what’s to come. We live for this life because it is tangible. We think of all the things we must accomplish here and now but forget this is all so temporary. Stay close to Him and you will experience the wonderment of how He weaves His life into ours.

God’s purpose for people is not an afterthought, it was settled before the foundation of the world. If you believe in Christ, you can rejoice in the fact that God has always known you. How awesome of a thought to know that the King of the world knows you, loves you, and will protect you.

Sometimes we feel like we’ve been in the same place for longer than we should. Our stamina is low and then in a moment, with such ease it can change. God is all powerful, truly believe that anything is possible with Him. Dream and go to God much like a child. The Lord says, Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven- Matthew 18:3

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil- James Allen
