So, we stopped in at Barnes and Noble this evening, and as per usual, I went to check over the "religion" section in the children’s department to see if they had my saints’ books. Why do I bother? No one ever does.

But that’s not the point. The point is that I couldn’t find the children’s religion section. It wasn’t in its usual spot, the spot it’s been in since the store opened. I wandered around for a couple of minutes, and eventually found it – stuck in a back corner, with no identifying sign.

I walked back to see what section had replaced it in the more prominent position – how could I have missed it the first time? It was all pink and sparkly and glittery, and the sign read, "Fun, Fashion and Friends!"

I guess the preachers of the Gospel of Religion is a Horrible Plague would be happy to see it put in its place and replaced in young lives by shimmery, glittery things.

I’m not exactly sure why they would be, though.
