If you’ve never visited the Monks of Adoration website – now’s a good time to start!

We, The Community of The Monks of Adoration, are a Public Association of the Faithful in the Diocese of Venice in Florida. Our Constitutions and Statutes have been approved by the Bishop of the Diocese of Venice in Florida in view of our being erected in the future as a Contemplative community of Diocesan Right.

Our charism is to be a contemplative monastic community dedicated to Eucharistic adoration. Our Constitutions and Statutes incorporate the Rule of Saint Augustine, which emphasizes a unity of heart and mind among the monks. We are not related to any other communities or orders.

We are dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our patron is Monstrmonk Saint Joseph to whom we turn to teach us to serve Jesus and Our Blessed Mother and for our material needs.

We strive to be faithful to the Holy Father and the Church, obedient to our bishop and to live an authentic religious and monastic life. We value the monastic traditions of silence, work and sacred study.

Our habit is a gray tunic and a gray scapular with a hood, a black rosary worn on our belt and a medallion with the symbol of our community as shown above.

Our work includes writing books, columns and articles for various publications, maintaining an extensive web site as part of our Internet ministry, publishing a small magazine called "The Tabernacle," running our bookstore called the "Cloister Shop," making clocks, maintaining our monastery and yard work, gardening, correspondence and welcoming visitors.

We have a healthy diet and encourage a beneficial sense of humor.

And..More basketball seminarians! This time in DC!
