You turn on Catholic radio and hear the host of the show that’s on is reading a very loooooong passage from one of your books. Last chapter of De-coding, in fact. And all you can think is, "Boy, I need to write shorter sentences….."

And you know, I tell my kids to do that all the time: when you’re rewriting a paper, read it aloud – you’ll catch a lot of mistakes that you might otherwise miss as you skim over your all-to-familiar text. You might. Like really loooooooong sentences.
