From a USA Today piece about Dominic Monaghan, who plays the drug addict rock musician Charlie on Lost, a head-scratching statement from a producer:

The Lost writers concocted quite the dilemma for Monaghan’s Charlie: a Catholic character faced with having to break statues of the Virgin Mary to get to a drug that could end his life. "That all has to do with the big thematic master plan of the show," hints executive producer Bryan Burk.

Hmmmmm….

And no, I didn’t post on Lost last week because I actually never got around to watching it. (partly because the Jack character bores me, and I knew he was the focus of the backstory) My daughter filled me in. Tonight, I’ll be there.
