….sort of. Parish auctions off front-row seating at Christmas Eve Mass.

Well, our parish auctions off parking places near the church to raise funds. I guess that’s different.

It’s going for a good cause, of course, but it does grate a little. Just a little, but not too much. If they were auctioning off more than the front rows, that would be bad. I myself would challenge those who would like to pay 1000 for a front row seat at Mass to contribute 1000 to the parish school (the beneficiary) without getting anything in return.
