The New Christians

Quote of the Week

“We live in a condition where we cannot help but be aware that there are a number of different construals, views which intelligent, reasonably undeluded people, of good will, can and do disagree on. We cannot help looking over our shoulder from time to time, looking sideways, living our faith also in a condition of doubt and uncertainty.”
Charles Taylor, A Secular Age

I am going to begin blogging through this amazing book in coming weeks.

Several other people have mentioned this book in the past few months… I am thinking about making it a project to read it this year.

I am going to begin reading your blog daily in the coming weeks…REALLY looking forward to this! Do you have a reading plan in place? If you read 30 pages a day, you’ll be finished by mid-march with time to spare!

I do trust all of the ideas you have introduced for your post. They are very convincing and can certainly work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for newbies. May you please extend them a little from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.

Ending Christian Euphemisms: "Fundamentalist"
I've taken some heat in the comment section for using yesterday's post on "unbiblical" and a "higher view of scripture" as a thin foil for my own disregard of biblical standards. To the contrary, I was pointing to the use of the word unbiblical ...
