Another post in the series of pieces about women who stand firm in their sense of Self-worth.

If you are such a woman, comfortable in your power, please tell me your story. And many thanks to those of you who answered the call.

I took the question of confidence to the “Fans/Likes” of The Queen of My Self Facebook page. Here are some of their responses:

The more Queenly I become, the more I desire to be in the company of other Queens.
– The Queen of My Self

Q. Do you agree?

A. I agree completely. Self-assured, self-confident women are so much easier to hang out with. They have much fewer hang-ups, and are more likely to share joy.
– Holly, AZ

A. I used to be intimidated by confident women. But now I can see that my feeling was based on feeling inadequate myself. I was really motivated by jealousy. Now that I feel better about myself, I can honesty admire other women who have developed themselves.
– Sharone, WI

A. I totally agree! I love it when my friends walk tall, confident that they are worthy. We keep reminding each other.
– Katherine, MD

A. I strongly agree. So many of us forget our worth. Perhaps we should also take the time to recognize not only our own worth, but remind others of theirs.
– Lorraine, PA

A. Smart, capable, strong women will bring about the changes in society that we all want. We are those smart, capable, strong women!
– Louisa, KS

A. Absolutely!!!
– Jana, OR

A. I was lucky to have a mother and aunts who were terrific role models of independent thinking, competent acting women who were secure in their confidence and self-esteem. I was so proud of them. And now, I am glad to say, I am proud of me!
– Blanca, CA

A. Confidence is very attractive in a woman.
– Jenissa, LA

A. There is a difference between being queenly and being a diva. The Queen is proud, but not arrogant.
– Bev, DC

A. QUEENS UNITE!
 – Alys, AK

Q. Is there a “trick” to “becoming” Queenly? I’m SURE NOT feelin’ it.
– Robin, NV

A. Dear Robin,
No, there is no trick to becoming a Queen. We each have to earn our crown and throne by actively engaging in the changes to which we aspire. I am not saying that it is easy. But, then, no one ever told me it would be easy. So I am not surprised and just keep plugging away! The feeling that you are the ruling sovereign of your own life will grow with each hurdle that you complete. Royal blessings.

Q. What about you? Are you a confident woman? What are your feelings about other confident women?
