SNL’s Victoria Jackson: Obama is the Anti-Christ (Seriously) and “sooooo evil”

posted by swaldman

Politico reports that Victoria Jackson, formerly of Saturday Night Live, appears in a new ad featuring Republicans of Hollywood. On her website, she explains some of the reasons she opposes Obama:

Your statements are New Age, relativist, & humanist. Basically, they are textbook comments that go back to the first sin in the Garden of Eden, when the serpent lied and told Adam and Eve that they could be equal with God. (Read the book “When the World Will Be As One”) “New Age” is the oldest false religion. It is a lie. And as for your “church” or Rev. Wright, Evangelicals think it’s a sad cartoon. Obama, call me. I’ll explain Christianity to you. Maybe you’ll get saved and start loving unborn babies…
I don’t want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ and I’m scared to death that un-educated people will ignorantly vote him into office.
You see, what bothers me most, besides being a Communist, and a racist (Obama writes in his book, From Dreams of My Father, “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and and animosity against my (white) mother’s race.”) (Obama’s “religion” of the last 20 years is Black Liberation Theology. What is that? “It is simply Marxism dressed up in Christian rhetoric. But unlike traditional Marxism, Black Liberation Theology emphasizes race rather than class. It’s leading theorist is James Cone who says Jesus was black, African-Americans are the chosen people, and whites are the devil. Cone says, “What we need is the destruction of whiteness, which is the source of human misery in the world.” The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor), is that he is a LIAR.
He pretends to be a Christian and he incriminates himself everytime he speaks about Christianity. To lie about being a believer in Christ is very dangerous. Lightning could strike him at any minute! But seriously, he doesn’t have a clue what the Bible says and yet he pretends to be a church- going Christian to win votes. That is sooooo evil.
In a 2004 interview with Cathleen Falsani for her book, Obama said, “…I believe there are many paths to the same place….and all people of faith – Christians, Jews, animists, everyone — know the same God.” This is not Christianity. It is universalism. Either Obama doesn’t know John 14:6, “Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by me,” or he doesn’t believe it. You can’t be a Christian and not believe the Bible is the Word of God! Obama goes on to say he doesn’t believe in hell, and he doesn’t know what happens to him when he dies. One cannot deny the central tenets of the Christian faith and be a Christian (Christ-follower). Obama is a liar.

Only in America – okay, also in Iran – would someone’s completely irrational fear drive such a ridiculous, insane public comment. My God, are you people actually looking for leadership from a third rate, washed up commedianne? Is that all you have? Steve, it’s sad that you felt compelled to repeat these lunatic statements. Sadder even that the poster above agrees with this woman.
There are many types of Christianity – all of them VALID. Maybe Obama doesn’t take the bible literally. Most Christians don’t because if they TRULY believed in the literal truth of the Bible, they would follow the orthodox dietary restrictions so exhaustively laid out in Leviticus; they would have multiple wives, or at least concubines.
Also, they would abide by Jesus’ own words about no public prayer, care of the poor and sick, and casting judgment. Bible literalists have taken an extremely contrary approach to all of these examples of Christ-like behaviours.
Fear is always the foundation of all you people do. Fundamentalism, your or the Middle can’t exist without it. Dr. Dobson knows that he can’t keep his flock without it. And Victoria Jackson is a victim of it.
You people are your own worst enemy.

My heart goes out to all of you, the writer of this blog especially. Being one who quotes passages of the bible so beautifully, but judges a man so critically, and mercilessly. Please re-evaluate yourself!

I am utterly disgusted with some of the GOP’s recent tactics. When people continually circulate rumors calling Obama the Anti-Chirst, or Communist, or a closet Muslim — often in the breath right after attacking his affiliation with the very Christian church of Wright — it is exactly the sort of “big lie” propaganda technique used by the Nazis. It is the politics of fear and divisiveness, of hatred and bigotry. For anyone to embrace such tactics is profoundly shameful, and dangerous as well. We cannot afford to forget that what is used to victimize anyone can all too easily be used to victimize *us* the next time around.
We will have to vote for Obama in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush-McCain fraud and smear machine. Vote early if you can. Then help your fellow Americans cast their votes now and on through election day. Vote for Obama as though your life (and the lives of your loved ones) depends on it. Because truly, it does: we will not survive 4 more years of the “Let Them Eat Cake” leadership of Bush, McCain, and their corrupt Republican allies.
Just look at the mess we have already. We can fix it with your vote. And REMEMBER, no matter which of us may stumble, the rest of us must continue to surge forward for Obama and the Democrats, and for ourselves most of all. Our children and the world are counting on us.
It’s in our hands now. And I know we will get it done.
God bless all of you.

Are you sure this isn’t cynical performance art being perpetrated by a former SNL comedian? It sure has a “Borat” feel to it.
On the other hand, it may be that there really are a significant number of people who think this way. If so, too many people may have swallowed the blue pill.

Do people really make the spiritual points of view of a candidate a determining point in voting?
If this is Christianity displayed here, you can keep the Christians out of office. Please.

She’s not saying anything new here, just repeating all the tired, old conservative appeals to emotion, fallacies, and lies that have been used in the past 20 months to try to take down Obama. She is a bit more extreme than Palin, but she is essentially trying to do the same thing Palin’s been doing at her rallies the past month. I have to believe that there are only 2 ways of explaining this phenomenon:
One, people like Palin and this washed-up comedian really believe this stuff – you know, they really, actually, literally believe that Obama is a covert Muslim terrorist, or a closet Stalinist who secretly wants to destroy America – either that or he is the Antichrist. Yes, they actually believe he is the Antichrist.
The other possibility is that these people are just part of a larger scheme by Rovian conservatives who are faced with a huge election loss as a result of widespread unpopularity of their party – an utterly cynical scheme of trying to win the election through defamation, slander, and guilt-by-association. It’s the “swiftboating” of Obama – just throw enough turds at the Obama wall that some of them will eventually stick in the minds of gullible, uninformed, ignorant, fearful Americans. You know,.. if you say Obama is a socialist 1,000,000 times everywhere you go – it becomes truth – because people start to believe what they hear enough times.
It seems pretty apparent that Palin isn’t a very smart woman, or at least she doesn’t seem to know much history or have much of a mind for subtlety and complexity. But I have to believe that the real story here is that the conservatives just want to win – and they will do anything they can to do so. And they really believe that you and I are stupid enough to let them trick us into voting for them. So they are the ones who have the real disdain for the common man, and who have no respect for the rabble.

Who eats cake and wagyu beef now? Obama does. Who has children at a private school but is willing to allow vouchers be discontinued for children who do not have wealthy parents at private schools? Obama does. Who insists on force feeding socialism and destroying the country? Obama does.
Victoria is correct.

Its July now, and Obama has taken control of General Motors, the financial industry, the credit card industry, and is trying to take over the health care industry. Cap & Tax will bring the rest of the American Economy to its knees.
For those of you who doubt that Obama is a socialist, I suggest you look up the definition. You will see Barack Hussein Obama’s face next to the entry. He is full out socialist, and socialism is the opposite of everything our founding fathers created in America. Liberty does not exist when the government runs your life.
