Watch Obama’s news conference here at RCB!

posted by Susan Johnson

Hulu has a countdown clock for the Obama news conference, is there that much excitement and anticipation? Are you guys planning your evening around it? I know I am, I plan to watch paint dry until it’s over and then watch the Biggest Loser. For those who actually plan to watch it, here’s the video, please share your joy with the rest of the viewers in the comment section :-)BTW, I don’t remember Bush’s press conferences having an embeddable Hulu video, do you?

I’ll apply the paint, you watch it dry (I’m painting a hand-made drop spindle…metallic blue). Then either NCIS or House.

Well, that’s interesting.
Michelle’s feed doesn’t have the six-second delay that CBS does (is the President going to utter a curse word?).

Is he really planning on balancing the budget through health care reform? Or is he just hammering that in order to scare the public into socialized medicine?
Did he really just say that we need to stop (or words to that effect) paying providers based on the number of procedures they perform (let’s not base reimbursement on services rendered)?

Robert, it might depend on your browser…I need to reload windows and my computer is running slow. My feed from here is running about 4 seconds behind CBS.

Well that’s smart – don’t watch it so you can’t make an informed comment on it, and then let some talking head tell you what to think.
Way to exercise your democratic rights.
I watch all of Bush’s (few) press conferences even though every thing he said made me cringe.

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right
