If you haven’t done your Christmas cards yet this year, consider this idea that just came to my attention from a Facebook friend:

“When filling out your Christmas cards, take one and send it to:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
Holiday Mail for Heroes
PO Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD 20791-5456.

Deadline is December 10. If everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.”

HopeChest is headquartered in a large military community–close to 5 different installations. Many of our neighbors and friends have fought to keep us safe, and we hope you’ll wish these wounded warriors a Merry Christmas!
