Wildfires Ravage the West

Wildfires are raging across the west today. Blazes in Oregon, Idaho and California are being driven by hot, dry winds. Some residents have been evacuated and many homes are threatened.

“God, extinguish the wildfires raging across the Western States. Protect the land, the homes and the lives threated by these infernos. You use fire in many ways. The land, at times needs to purging of the flame. But in the midst of the benefits of fire, bring order and protection. Calm the weather and bring cool, settled moist air to dampen the flames so that they do not run out of control. Give the firefighters courage and wisdom and stamina. Keep them safe. Calm this firestorm, Lord. In Jesus’ name.”

That’s fine but also pray for people to accept and decide to seriously combat the human-caused global warming behind the heat that contributes to these fire dangers.
