Prayer, Plain and Simple

Workplace Prayer

posted by Mark Herringshaw

The following prayer was sent to me by a friend named Lana Williams. She found this printed prayer and passed it along. Very rich…

Lord Jesus, as I enter this workplace, I bring Your presence with me.  I speak Your peace, Your grace and Your perfect order into the atmosphere of my workplace.

I acknowledge Your Lordship over all that will be spoken, thought, decided and accomplished this day.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gifts and skill You have deposited in me.  I do not take them lightly, but commit to using them responsibly and well.

Give me a fresh supply of truth and beauty on which to draw as I do my job today.

Bless my creativity, my ideas, my energy so that even my smallest task may bring You honor.

Lord, when I’m confused, guide me – when I’m weary, energize me.

Lord, when I’m burned out, infuse me with the light of Your Holy Spirit.

May the work I do and the way I do it bring hope, life and courage to all that I come into contact with today.

And, oh Lord, even in this day’s most stressful moments, may I rest in You.

In the name of Jesus, I pray.  Amen.

Praise the Lord! This is a wonderful prayer, not only for the workplace but for the homemakers, the people who are retired , and those who are not working. We do not praise the Lord like we should and this just about great for everyone. Please don’t forget to give thanks to the Lord everyday. He deserves it! I personally think back on all the things that I had to go through when I was younger and I tell you, without the Lord, I wouldn’t have been here today. Pray any time and turn all your problems over to the Lord, and believe me he will take care of it for you. Try it, it works.

Thank you and bless you to whoever submitted this prayer. It was meant for me to read this this morning. I get these emails daily but never open them but because of God’s grace, I opened this one today and it was such a blessing. I am a Qualified Mental Heath Professional and a Qualified Substance Abuse Professional and each day is a challenge. Not only are the clients a challenge but with the changes that are being mandated by the state. After reading this prayer it gave me inspiration to make it through this day. I am going to print this prayer and tape it to my desk so that I can read it throughout the day. Again, thank you and God Bless You.

This inspirational prayer touched my soul and I only wish I knew of it long ago. I am currently retired and I am passing it on to my daughter and hope that she feel the same sentiment as I did.

A Prayer For Our Kids Today
If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you! Jeremiah 15:19b We utter hundreds of words a day. How many of them are constructive? Oh that we would be obedient to the countless commands in Scripture to guar
