posted by Ethan Nichtern

Avaaz.org is petitioning the United Nations for Aung San Suu Kyi’s release, and has almost 400,000 signatures so far.

Here’s a decent write-up of the situation in Burma via the A.P.

Here’s Aung San Suu Kyi speaking briefly on nonviolence, an unwavering principle she takes to heart.

I was sorry not to post this earlier in the week. I received the action alert, but couldn’t get to it until now. Please take action at Avaaz.org. Time is short

Let us all join together in pledging our support to this incredible woman and to her cause for freedom, justice and democracy. Burma is free from foreign power but it is still not free from tyranny. Let us all light a candle for the immediate release of AUNG SAN SUU KYI’s and for her long life.

Wisdom 2.0
If a zen master were sitting next to the chief technical officer of Twitter, what would they talk about? That sounds like a hypothetical overheared at a bar in San Francisco. But this weekend I saw the very thing at Soren Gordhamer's Wisdom 2.0 conference — named after his book of the same nam
