Mike Huckabee is still trying to make amends for his unfortunate remark about Mormons during the presidential campaign (“Don’t Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?”). His most recent attempt was in a national radio interview late last week, summarized at the Mormon Times: “Huckabee denies saying anything unkind about Mormons.” At this point I consider it water under the bridge (see my earlier post to that effect) but it seems that a lot of people don’t agree. Not because Huckabee isn’t trying. He is quoted in the interview as saying, “Utah is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and I want to go there and not have eggs and rotten vegetables thrown at me.” Or shoes.
