Mindfulness Revolution at Home

Mindfulness has been taught, practiced, and lived in medical settings for over 30 years now. Jon Kabat-Zinn started the revolution and now his students and colleagues Bob Stahl and Elisha Goldstein are taking the revolution to your living room. While Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is being taught in hundreds of centers worldwide, we haven’t had the do-it-your-self home course until now.

In their new and bestselling book, A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook, Bob and Elisha make mindfulness practical and accessible to anyone.
For example, consider the S-T-O-P technique that stands for Stop-Take a Breath-Observe-Proceed.

S-T-O-P is similar to my metaphor of Stop, Drop, and Roll
This book is filled with practical wisdom and includes a practice CD with 8.5 hours of guided meditations on mp3.

Equanimity in the Face of Adversity, Controversy, and Memory

Sit Still
If you listen carefully to my meditation instructions, you might detect a contradiction. On the one hand, I de-emphasize the posture because I don't want people to get deterred by the physical difficulties of sitting. On the other hand, I encourage everyone to sit still and to resist the reflexive t
