God’s CREATIVE Miracles! (as opposed to God’s uncreative miracles)

Ooh… among all of the crazy represented in this video, we learn that one of God’s creative miracles includes giving somebody brand new eyeballs! Awesome.

Sigh.

My favorite part was the dude in Africa sprouting legs. Funny how all these miracles happen unverified in another continent.

Actually, I think you’ll find Bethel Church has a lot of medically verified miracles, including the likes of down-syndrome children being healed at a chromosomal level.

I also have a personal friend who was healed of a genetic heart condition that caused her to faint from physical exertion. Her healing was pretty creative, she gave God a month, the last night of the month God woke her up twice and asked if she wanted to be healed, so she went for a walk down the beach, sat on a chair and felt a warm liquid running through her chest, looked down and her whole chest from the neck to her waist was glowing, she sprinted the 1.5km home (she would’ve passed out after 500m before) and woke her flatmates at 2am in the morning..to this day the hospital that use to treat her/try and heal her have a 12inch thick file on her stating her as a medical marvel/miracle.

I am not going to argue as to whether the healings you have indicated are true, because neither you or I have seen them personally. And while I do believe God does heal all manner of illness, cancer and heart conditions. I find that our desire for healing is a desire for “perfection” because we do not like the place we are living in. And this we subject people to this perspective, telling them if they just pray hard enough things will change, which is destructive.

To use your example of the Down Syndrome child. To pray that this child would be “healed” from Down Syndrome which is a chromosomal and a complicated condition is to ignore the gift of profound miracle of the creation of life given by God. I see it as turning around and telling God you don’t like the gift, the child that he has spent the same amount of time forming, and you want a better model.

This thought can be the same throughout illnesses, and while I don’t believe that there is any thing “wrong” about seeking miracles the question is are you seeking Him in those prayers or the life and God that you want to make your life the way you think it should be? If so, go for it, if not maybe you should be praying for God’s insight into your place in life.

If God really wanted to prove his existence and infinite mercy he could instantly cure Christopher Hitchens.

What is it with Christian hipsters putting their hair into weird shapes, I guess to appear current? I mean some of us don’t have a choice where our hair goes, but come on-is this the approved Christian tattoo? Hey listen to me, I’m relevant, can’t you tell my hair is “edgy”.

Is it just my imagination or was the dude more hesitant to say people should fast then that God grew body parts?

Truly a bizarre video…especially the hair…wow how does he do that?

Some parts of Christianity really embarrass me. The day of miracles was for the disciples and then ceased.
