According to a Chicago newspaper, this Aurora pastor was sentenced to 19 years in prison Friday for sexually assaulting a young girl over two years, the Kane County state’s attorney’s office said.

I totally agree on the pr angle.

This is why I oppose Christian bumper stickers: people who are angry in traffic focus their anger on whatever they can attach it to… “inconsiderate Christians!”

Oh, one more thing: God is still Good. 😉

Crazy how the shirt (still) stands true in the face of something so disgusting.

How do see “God is Good” being true within the context of this picture, story, t-shirt?

I’m only speculating, but I bet the victims would disagree with you. I bet you they see that t-shirt and it reminds them that sometimes God fails to be good.

Because, thankfully, God’s goodness isn’t dependent upon ours.

This is a sad thing, and another reason we need to show that God is good, not man…we can only try to be His love as much as we can to offset the evil

I was about to say that the mug shot misses the second line on the t-shirt that says “I am not.”

Thankfully, God’s “goodness” has nothing to do with those who profess to believe in him. We’re all pretty screwed up in some way. We may not be good, but God’s goodness continues to endure. AN important distinction to make.

The bottom line is that one should never fully trust anyone who is just a bit too eager to work with children, baby-sit, offer rides home, etc. Predators can spend years cultivating skills and authority that allows them access to children. Tell your kids NEVER to be alone with an adult unless other children or adults are within hearing range and the door is left open. If you’re a decent person who works with kids, follow the same rules- false accusations do happen.

When something good happens, praise God! When something bad happens, blame man.

Hey, maybe Jesus doesn’t need new PR!
