Taking It To The Streets

posted by Robert Gelinas

This Friday I’ll be in Harrisburg, PA speaking at the Atlantic Conference for the Brethren in Christ.  This group of Christians desire to transform their communities with Christ.  The conference is called, "Taking It To The Streets."  A phrase I use a lot as well for I believe that church is what happens when you leave the building of gathered saints.

If I have internet while I’m there I’ll blog about these externally focused followers of Jesus.

J.T.,
I appreciated your “Finding Your Voice” series. I agree with those who say you need to get this stuff into a book! I’ll look forward to that announcement.
I hope I’ll have a chance to hear you in person one of these days. Have you made a decision yet about attending the Cornerstone Festival?

Ed,
Thanks for the encouragement. I’m not going to make it to Cornerstone this year. My apologies for not letting you know sooner.
Let me know what it’s like.

KM,
Thanks for stopping by.
I had a great time with the BIC. They are a group of church with rich roots and a strong desire to be the church.

Hey RG,
It’s Dru, the one who dropped you off at the airport from the BIC conference. Enjoyed the opportunity to chat with you on the way over. Everything you said was a blessing and an inspiration. Well done.
Oh and I picked up Free at Last again, refreshing myself with some of the concepts.
peace.

Dru,
Thanks again for getting up so early and taking me to the airport. It was a joy to be with you all at the conference, I only wish you and I had more time to chat about what God is doing with you and your ministry.
Free At Last…worth every page!
blessings,
robert

I did have a question? When we were talking… did you say that you went from an all white church to a church that reflected the community in a few weeks???
I am curious about this whole process, what all “barriers” you broke down initially, and so on.

A Ghost? Or Our God?   By Patricia Raybon It’s dark, cold and early. But I’m excited. On this morning, the most important thing I have to do is hear from God. And not just a little bit. I want to hear without limits. Isn’t that what we’re all saying today? That we want to be blessed by
