What Will You Leave Behind?

posted by Jennifer E. Jones

My editor sent me this short video, and as soon as I saw it, I wanted to share it with you.

It gets me thinking about what we leave behind. What messages do you want the next generation to know? What do you want your children to always know about you?

Think about it and post a comment.

I too take pictures all the time, and I’ve been making scrapbooks LONG before that was ever a “click” thing to do. I’ve got scrapbooks full of memories, in order of events, ever since the early 80′s.
Those and my diaries. I’ll let my kid read them when I get old & grew.

This clipping was touchy. We all have our special moments in life, where we like to reflect on our life in a very special way.
Everone has a very quiet side of their personality, where the loneliness or those quiet moments are very precious to ourselves. We share our most intimate moments
in that quiet world of ours.

What I will leave behind are stories of my childhood, growing up, my parents and the values they taught me, and my siblings, my marriage, my friends or ex-friends, the good and the horrible boss, how I make my living and why and why not I like it, and how much I love my “Precious,” granddaughter, the life and times of people that influenced and shaped my adult life.. and the pictures I have taken throughout the years, I would like to write stories about them, something that they can talk about for the generations to come. even when I’m gone.

Always treat everyone the way you would like to be treated. If and when you see someone doing something good, tell them! Education and decipline is the important for a successful life.

I would like to leave my stories to my grown children and Grandchildren about my life the bad and good,to be kind to others and to love their family and siblings. My life was good for the most part. But I do not want them to hang on to a past love like I do.My first love was great we just let others interfer.I tried to replace him but at 58 I can’t.My first love was great and I should not have married others because of it.Love is love when you get it don’t leave it.

A Quote to Live By
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." Henry David Thoreau Whatever you were put on this earth to do, do it today. Don't delay. Don't look back. Run like crazy towards your passion and watch God lay the adventure out before you.

People Who Do Good: A Cake that Makes a Difference
Our "People Who Do Good" series has been a blast and I've enjoyed highlighting the stories and lives of everyday heroes. This one comes to us from writer Rebecca Brittingham who traveled to Florida to find a cake-maker with a heart for the less fortunate. When most people hear the word art, they

The Problem with Pain
I’ve heard people say, “How do I get over something if it still hurts?” And yes, forgiveness is key, whether it’s aimed towards yourself or someone else. However, it’s not really the main issue. What people really want to know is, “How do I deal with the pain?” The problem with pain
