‘Breaking Dawn': Filming has begun

posted by Donna Freitas

Everyone is all abuzz because the cast of Twilight has just arrived in Vancouver to start filming the fourth and final installment of the Twilight Saga. Well, correction: the fourth and final installment which has been broken into two. Which makes this installment Twilight 4.0, with 4.5 to be continued I suppose.
Anyway. Part of what people are buzzing about is the presence of Mackenzie Foy, the girl actress ready to play Renesmee, Edward and Bella’s love child/part human, part vampire baby. Yes, very weird. And definitely the weirdest narrative choice of all the strange choices Meyer made in the series. Ah well.
Access Hollywood (and a million other sites) reported the following:
“According to People, the cast of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” have begun arriving in Vancouver, Canada to film the final chapters of the popular franchise. . . “Breaking Dawn” will be released as two separate films with the first installment hitting theaters on November 18, 2011, and the second part on November 16, 2012.”
Yes, the producers are taking the series for all its worth by dividing it into two. And Breaking Dawn part 2 will be filmed in 3D. I have to say, this doesn’t appeal to me. People are also buzzing about discovery of Edward and Bella’s cottage for the movie–the one they live in together after their honeymoon.
Some day soon this will all be over.
