The latest sample of yoga in advertising is this new Mac Ad, in which the “PC” seems frozen in either cobra or the beginnings of upward dog–flattened on what looks like a jute and rubber yoga mat. The teacher, played by the amazing Judy Greer, loses her yoga-cool to the extent that the PC considers switching to Pilates (it still weirds me out when the two are closely compared–centuries-old tradition vs. new fitness fad? But whatever). It’s not the usual yoga-is-hippy-dippy portrayal, but rather seems to be saying that even serene yoga teachers will lose it if they try to use Vista. Nicely done, though I’ve never once seen a gong anywhere near a yoga class. [via: e-Sutra]
