Face to Face with Your Fear or Challenge

Form the I Ching by Brian Browne Walker:

“There are times when even a superior person is undermined by the time.
It is natural that inferior elements periodically come to the forefront.
Adversity is often a stimulant to our spiritual growth.
What is most important is the spirit in which we meet it.

When challenging situations come to call, often we are overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety, doubt and fear.  We fear that if we do not act immediately and vigorously, we will be ruined or loss.
At these times the proper response is “mountain over earth.”
By keeping as still and quiet as a mountain, by resting firmly on your foundation of proper principles,
by accepting the nature of the time and not resisting it, you weather all storms.
By trusting in non-action, acceptance and patience you gain the strength of the very earth.

Genuine power and lasting progress come from inner strength,
which is characterized by a steadfast devotion to the principles of humility, simplicity, equanimity and acceptance.

By practicing the quiet strength within and gentle acceptance without,
you acquire a grace that dissolves all barriers to progress.”

When you face your greatest challenges, your greatest ally is proper principles.
These are the fundamental, natural laws that always bring the greatest victory.
In the challenges we are facing today in our health, relationships, work and worldwide economy,
each of us is coming face to face with our greatest fears.

Our economy is facing its most serious challenge since The Great Depression.
People are losing jobs, home values and retirement plans are disintegrating before our eyes.
Over 50% of students graduating college are unable to find jobs.
This is the common reality; it does not have to be yours.

You are facing the toughest mental, emotional and financial world economy of your lifetime.
You have the ability to succeed no matter what the circumstances are.

Remember that the greatest success is in the person you become and the development of your character.

No goal matters unless it is achieved by following proper principles and natural law.

This is the way to long term success in all areas.

blessings,
🙂 Lee
