I love Anne Rice’s take on loving those who repel us. The author of the Vampire Chronicles and some lesser known fantasy erotica, Rice’s return to Catholicism in recent years has resulted in a spiritual memoir and some faith-oriented novels such as the Christ the Lord Series and Angel Time. Although I wonder if it is possible for us to “will ourselves to love” as she suggests, I think I understand where she is coming from. What’s your take?
