Be Still

posted by Alex Blackwell

Every now and then it’s a good idea to slow down, put life on hold and be still.

In the stillness, you can…
- hear yourself think
- notice the sound of the wind
- feel your heart beat
- daydream again
- pray

When you have too many things to do, be still for a moment and consider the most important task to do – not the one that’s most urgent.

In the stillness, you can…
- allow peace to cover you
- clear you mind
- meditate
- do nothing
- simply breathe

When you want to end a relationship, be still for a moment and listen to your inner wisdom before taking the next step.

You can find stillness wherever you choose by…
- scheduling time everyday
- finding a place that’s comfortable
- giving yourself time
- quieting your mind
- being present in the moment

When anxiety feels like it choking your spirit, be still for a moment and let the fears pass over you like clouds in the sky.

In the stillness, you can…
- come back to yourself
- refresh your soul
- make a wish
- rest
- feel alive once again
