I saw a TV ad for a new cranberry “energy juice.”  It claimed to help me through my tiring, busy day, asking if I “needed a lift?”  I am skeptical.

Looking up the product online, it claims to be full of energy, but only half the calories.  It’s artificially sweetened.

Still, it’s a carbohydrate.  The drink may give you energy, but so does any fruit.  It’s the fructose (sugar) that gives you a boost.  Therefore, those of us who are wary of too many carbohydrates, be careful of this one!

The one thing I like is that this is one of the first carbohydrate products that admits it’s selling itself to tired, overstressed, overworked people.  That’s not all bad, perhaps.  At least it’s not a candy bar, also, which also gives us energy!  And a LOT of calories!

I think when you’re tired, it’s best to hydrate with water, and take a nap.
